The ride on miniature railway has a total track length of about 1.9Kms supporting both 7 ¼” and 5” gauge trains.
After leaving the station the railway runs thru the outer edge of the park, crosses over itself via a gentle gradient and a steel bridge before passing thru a tunnel on its way back to the station.
A covered passenger loading station (PENFIELD No1) allows for three trains to load and unload passengers.
Over recent years the track has been substantially upgrade to improve the ride.
The installation of electric track detection and signalling with remote point operation designed and operated to original railway principals, has improved the flow, control and safety of the railway.
